Celebrate the 15th List of the 10 Most Endangered Historic Places in Mississippi!
This year, the Mississippi Heritage Trust will announce the 15th list of the 10 Most Endangered Historic Places in Mississippi on Thursday, October 23 at The Heights in Jackson, MS.
Join the Mississippi Heritage Trust for a powerful evening as we unveil the 15th list of Mississippi’s 10 Most Endangered Historic Places. Since the first list was published in 1999, this program has helped bring attention—and solutions—to 140 historic sites across the state. From the King Edward Hotel in Jackson to the Amzie Moore House in Cleveland, these places tell the story of preservation success.
This year’s event is especially meaningful with Mississippi architect Belinda Stewart serving as our Honorary Chair. A leader in the field of historic preservation, Belinda’s work has inspired communities across the state to find new purpose in old places.
The event highlights the ongoing challenges facing Mississippi’s historic landmarks and celebrates the individuals and communities working to save them. Whether you’re a preservation advocate, a concerned citizen, or simply passionate about Mississippi’s history, this is an evening you won’t want to miss.
Nominations for the 2025 list are currently open. The places featured this year will join a powerful legacy of action, investment, and renewed pride in our shared heritage.
A big thank you to our sponsors!
